Privacy Policy
Last updated October 27, 2026
Lucento (“Lucento”, “we”, “us”) is a reporting, inventory and product analysis service for online stores, operated by [Company legal name]. This policy explains what information we collect when you use Lucento, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have.
For your account information we decide how it is used (we are the “controller”). For the store data you connect, we process it on your behalf to provide the service (we are your “processor” or “service provider”), and you remain responsible for it toward your own customers.
Information we collect
Your account
Your email address and sign-in details, the stores you create in Lucento, team memberships and roles. Sign-in is handled by Amazon Cognito; we never see your password.
Data from services you connect
We only read the data each connection needs, using the permissions you approve when connecting.
- Shopify: store details (name, timezone, currency), products, variants, prices and costs, inventory levels and their history, locations, collections, sales channels, and orders and refunds (line items, quantities, prices, discounts, dates, sales channel and fulfilment location). We do not store your customers’ names, email addresses, phone numbers or addresses; orders keep only Shopify’s numeric customer ID.
- Meta (Facebook and Instagram ads): the name and ID of the person who connects, the ad account they choose, campaign, ad set and ad names, statuses, objectives, budgets and creative previews (image thumbnail and ad copy), daily performance figures (spend, impressions, clicks, purchases and purchase value), and the change history of those campaigns, including the name of the person who made each change.
- Klaviyo: your Klaviyo account name, timezone and currency, the names and settings of campaigns and flows, and their aggregated results (recipients, deliveries, opens, clicks, unsubscribes, conversions and conversion value). We do not read your subscribers’ profiles or contact details.
Access tokens and API keys for these services are stored encrypted and are never shown in the app.
Product analysis
If you use AI analysis, we send product images and product text to our AI provider to describe what each product shows (for example subjects, themes, styles and colours), and store the results with your products.
Technical information
Our hosting provider records standard request logs (such as IP address, browser and time) for security and troubleshooting. The app keeps your sign-in session in your browser’s storage. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
How we use information
- To provide Lucento: syncing your data, building dashboards and reports, estimating sales missed while products were out of stock, and AI analysis.
- To make the changes you set up: Product Rules and price edits change your Shopify store only when you create and run them.
- To keep the service secure, fix problems and support you.
- To tell you about changes to the service or this policy.
We do not sell your information, use it for advertising, or share it with other merchants. We do not use your data to train AI models, and our AI provider does not use it to train its models under its commercial terms.
Who we share it with
We use these service providers (“subprocessors”) to run Lucento, each bound to protect the data and use it only for providing their service to us:
- Amazon Web Services: hosting, sign-in (Amazon Cognito) and file storage, in the United States.
- Neon: our database, in the United States.
- Anthropic: AI analysis of product images and text.
We exchange data with Shopify, Meta and Klaviyo only as you authorise, to read your data and (for Shopify) to make the changes you request. We may also disclose information if the law requires it, to protect rights and safety, or as part of a merger or sale of our business (in which case this policy continues to apply).
Security
Data is encrypted in transit (TLS). Connection credentials are additionally encrypted at rest. Access to production systems is limited to the people who need it to run the service. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach affects your data, we will tell you without undue delay.
How long we keep it
- While your Lucento store exists, we keep its synced data so your reports cover past periods.
- When you disconnect a service, we stop syncing and delete its access token straight away. Data already synced stays until you delete it.
- When you uninstall Lucento from Shopify, we delete that store’s Shopify data within 30 days of Shopify’s deletion request.
- When you delete your Lucento store or ask us to delete your data, we delete it within 30 days, except where we must keep records by law.
Deleting your data
To delete data from a connected service, disconnect it on the Integrations page in Lucento, then email [privacy@lucento.app] from your account’s email address and tell us which store and which data to delete. To remove Lucento’s access to Facebook, you can also remove the app in Facebook under Settings and privacy → Settings → Business integrations. We confirm when the deletion is done.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export or delete your personal information, and to object to or restrict how we use it. Email [privacy@lucento.app] and we will respond within 30 days. If you are a customer of a store that uses Lucento, please contact that store; we will help them answer your request. You may also complain to your local data protection authority.
International transfers
We store and process data in the United States. Where data comes from the EU, UK or Switzerland, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses.
Children
Lucento is a business service and is not directed at anyone under 16. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
Changes
We will post any changes here and update the date above. For significant changes we will also email account owners before they take effect.
